nullCommunity Memorial Hospital is welcoming Lonny Miller, MD, to the family medicine practice at CMH Medical Clinic in Sumner. Dr. Miller comes to Sumner from Creston, Iowa.

“As a family physician, I value the relationships I come to build with patients over time and the trust they allow me to earn as their confidant and partner in health,” Dr. Miller says.

He is the fifth provider associated with CMH Medical Clinic, joining Lucas Brinkman, DO; Krista Begalske, ARNP; Shanna Elliott, DO; and Spencer Kleitsch, ARNP.

CMH Medical Clinic is accepting appointments for Dr. Miller, who officially begins seeing patients the week of June 5, 2023. Call the clinic at (563) 578-5375 to schedule an appointment.

Dr. Miller earned his medical education from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Upper Iowa University and Bachelor of Arts degree from Simpson College.

He provides comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric patients, while performing a variety of procedures such as skin biopsies and excisions, cryosurgery, colposcopies, IUDs and contraceptive implants and treadmill cardiac stress tests.

Dr. Miller is passionate about preventive care.

“So much of our current healthcare model focuses on disease management,” he says. “Sadly, the emphasis on preventive care has suffered. I enjoy working with patients in guiding them along their way to making incremental, individualized, healthy changes to improve their quality of life and do what they can to avoid chronic disease or reduce its impact on their lives.”

“I do not follow a one-size-fits-all approach to the practice of medicine,” Dr. Miller says. “I will take the time to find out what is most important to you as we develop a plan to support and improve your health.”
