Rock the Block Fundraiser

Our sixth annual fundraiser event is planned for Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Sumner. We are planning music from country artist Neil Hewitt, drink tastings, food, and silent auction. 

Friends of CMH is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm for Community Memorial Hospital – UnityPoint Health, a non-profit rural hospital located in Sumner.  We receive no municipal or city stipends and run strictly on community support.  

This year we are raising funds to purchase a new Pulmonary Function Testing Machine. This updated equipment will help us better diagnose and monitor respiratory conditions close to home, ensuring our patients receive accurate testing and high-quality care right here in our community.

 

 

 About Our Entertainment-

A country music junkie and talented artist, Neil Hewitt has been performing for years, opening for well-known acts such as Kellie Pickler, Jerrod Neimann, Confederate Railroad, and others.  He's a staple at fairs, festivals, casinos, and breweries around Iowa and the Midwest  -  wherever country fans flock for a good time.  Join us for a fun evening of classic country from the 80’s, 90’s, 00’s and classic rock favorites and Neil's own originals which you can listen to ahead of time on his website, neilhewittmusic.com and on all streaming platforms!

Cost:

$40 in advance ($45 at the door), under 21 is free
