Dr. Troy Buchholz Announces Resignation Effective August
March 29, 2022
Citing his family’s desire to move out of state, Dr. Troy Buchholz has submitted his letter of resignation from Community Memorial Hospital and its CMH Medical Clinic.
Dr. Buchholz’s last day of patient care at CMH will be August 5, 2022. His departure will end 19 years of practice with CMH.
“CMH has been my home for the past 19 years,” Dr. Buchholz told the CMH Board of Directors in his resignation letter. “I have great pride in the care that we give and the culture we have created. I have a wonderful patient panel, great nursing and ancillary staff and an administration that has my best interest in mind. All of these will be greatly missed. I will always keep CMH close to my heart.”
Dr. Buchholz earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 2000 and spent the next three years in Cedar Rapids at a family practice residency program before joining CMH in July 2003.
CMH will begin recruitment efforts immediately. Health records for Dr. Buchholz’s patients will remain at CMH.
