Dawn Everding

Chief Hospital Administrator/CFO

A native of nearby Tripoli, Dawn has worked in Northeast Iowa health care facilities since 1990, when she joined Allen Hospital in Waterloo as a financial analyst. Since then, she has served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community and Administrator at Tripoli Nursing & Rehab before transitioning to a CFO position with CMH in 2013. In 2018, she transitioned into her current role as hospital administrator and CFO. Everding has degrees from Wartburg College in Accounting and Finance, and she's a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In her role at CMH, she oversees medical staff, the senior leadership team and overall facility operations.

Beth Hauser, RRT/PSGT

Supervisor Operations

A respiratory therapist by trade, Beth has spent a majority of her career at Community Memorial Hospital, beginning with a full-time role as an RT in 2008 and most recently as the Clinic Operations Lead. Now, as Supervisor of Operations, she manages Plant Services, Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, Respiratory Therapy and Lab. Beth has a heart for health care and the people who desperately need it. She and her husband created the Rebecca Hauser Foundation in 2017, which provides grief and mental health resources to children in Iowa who have experienced traumatic loss. Beth is a native of Clarksville and has an Associate of Applied Science degree from Hawkeye Community College in Respiratory Care.

Sheila Uhlenhake

Manager Community Support Services, Risk Manager, Privacy and Compliance Officer

A native of Sumner, CMH has been home for Sheila since entering the healthcare field as a transcriptionist in 2006. Sheila moved into the Health Information Management department in 2008 before taking on the first of several management roles encompassing the areas of patient privacy, hospital revenue, analytics and compliance. In her current roles, she oversees the CMH Medical Clinic, CMH's revenue cycle, radiology, IT, risk management, employee health, compliance and patient privacy areas. Sheila, a Registered Health Information Administrator, has a degree in Health Information and Informatics Management from The College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, Minn. In addition, she's a member of the American Health Information Management Association, as well as its state-level equivalent, IaHIMA.

Mary Winters, MSN, RN

Director of Nursing

Mary grew up in Maynard before attending Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree with a minor in psychology. After graduation, Mary worked as a nurse in the emergency department, inpatient floor and infusion therapy at Community Memorial Hospital. She became the Director of Nursing at the beginning of 2022 and now manages the same units she previously worked on, as well as surgery. Mary loves CMH and the people it serves. In May 2022, she graduated from Mount Mercy University again, this time with a Master’s in Nursing Administration degree.
